EDGAR credentials

How to connect EDGAR for direct submission.

Updated 2026-04-30edgarintegrationcredentials

Direct EDGAR submission requires your filer ID, password, and CCC. We store these encrypted and use them only to submit.

Where to enter

Settings > Integrations > EDGAR > Configure. Enter your CIK, filer ID, password, and CCC.

How they are stored

AES-256 encryption at rest. Decryption only at submission time, with the request signed by the submitting user. Audit trail records every decryption with the user and the filing accession.

Rotation

We recommend rotating EDGAR passwords annually. The system will remind you 30 days before the SEC's recommended rotation window.

Multiple CIKs

If you have multiple CIKs (parent and subsidiaries), add each as a separate connection. The Drafts wizard asks which CIK to file under for any filing.

What we never do

We never log your credentials to disk. We never email them. We never share them with support staff. If support needs to debug a submission failure, they see only the submission request envelope and EDGAR's response, never the credentials themselves.
