EDGAR accounts

Market Fortress does not send filings. It does not store an EDGAR password, a passphrase, or a CCC, and it does not use them to submit.

What a company number is

A settings screen can save a company number (the CIK) and a company name. That number is for a public lookup of filings the company already made. A saved number is not a login. It does not grant access to file.

Who holds the account

The company, or its filing agent, holds the EDGAR account. Market Fortress does not ask you to type a filer code or a passphrase into this help page, and it does not email those secrets.

More than one company number

A parent and a subsidiary are different companies. Each public lookup uses that company's own number. The product still does not file for either of them.
