Setting up two-factor authentication
Add TOTP, generate backup codes, manage WebAuthn passkeys.
Two-factor authentication is required for any user who can submit to EDGAR.
TOTP setup
Settings > Security > Two-Factor > Add Authenticator. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, or any TOTP app. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm.
Backup codes
After TOTP setup, you receive 10 single-use backup codes. Store them in your password manager. They unlock your account if you lose your phone.
WebAuthn passkeys
Settings > Security > Two-Factor > Add Passkey. The browser prompts you to register a Touch ID, Face ID, or hardware key. Passkeys are phishing-resistant and faster than TOTP.
Recovery
Lost everything? You contact your Owner. They can issue a recovery link that goes to your email. If you are the Owner, you contact support and we run a manual identity verification.

- Every change to billing.
- Every change to integration credentials.
