When to use Concierge
Cost / time tradeoffs against pure-counsel and DIY approaches.
Updated 2026-04-30conciergecostdecision
Concierge is not for every issuer. Here is the decision framework.
Use Concierge when
- You are filing your first S-1, F-1, or Reg A 1-A.
- You want to file in 6 to 12 weeks.
- Your counsel charges $750+ per hour and is happy to redline rather than draft.
- You have a clean Vault.
Use pure-counsel when
- You are a repeat issuer with a counsel team that drafts efficiently.
- You have a custom transaction structure that requires bespoke disclosure.
- Your counsel insists (some firms have policy positions on AI-assisted drafting).
Use DIY when
- You are filing a Reg A 1-A under $5M raise, you have an in-house GC, and you understand the Item-level requirements.
Cost comparison (rough)
For a typical $50M S-1:
- Pure-counsel: $400K to $1.2M, 16 to 24 weeks.
- Concierge + counsel review: $80K to $200K, 6 to 12 weeks.
- DIY (not recommended for S-1): $25K, 12 to 20 weeks, with material risk of restatement.
What we do not promise
We do not promise faster SEC review. The SEC's review timeline is the same regardless of who drafted the filing. We do promise faster time to first filing.
