Your first 7 days
A day-by-day plan to take Market Fortress from sign-up to first filing.
Welcome. The first week is structured so you can be filing-ready by Friday without rushing.
Day 1: Sign-up and identity
Finish the corporate onboarding wizard. We need your CIK, ticker (if any), state of incorporation, fiscal year end, and at least one officer. Everything is editable later.
Day 2: Sync prior filings
Run the EDGAR backfill. We pull your last four years of filings, parse them, and pre-populate the Vault. This usually takes 5 to 10 minutes for a typical reporter.
Day 3: Review the Vault
Walk every Tier 1 register. Confirm officers, directors, material contracts, and litigation are accurate. The Vault is the single source of truth that every future filing reads from.
Day 4: Invite your team
Add your CFO, controller, IR, GC, and outside counsel. Roles are granular: counsel can redline but not submit, IR can publish PRs but not edit financials.
Day 5: Connect data sources
Connect QuickBooks for live financials and Carta for the cap table. If you do not use those tools, manual entry is fully supported.
Day 6: Run a dry-run filing
Open the Drafts module and start a dry-run 8-K. The wizard takes about 10 minutes. Use it to validate that the Vault is correct.
Day 7: Schedule your CSM call
Book a 30-minute walkthrough with your customer success manager. They will pressure-test your setup against your filing calendar for the next 12 months.
You are now production-ready. Ongoing maintenance averages 30 to 60 minutes per quarter outside of filings.
